DEIS
The DEIS Scheme is a scheme that aims to reduce the barriers to educational retention and progression in schools in areas with high levels of socioeconomic disadvantage. As a DEIS school, we receive increased funding and teacher allocation so that we can support our students.
Our school’s DEIS Plan identifies areas for improvement and the measures we must take to progress in each of the 8 domains (literacy, numeracy, retention, attainment, attendance, transitions and partnership with parents, partnerships with others). The DEIS plan serves as our schools School Improvement Plan and this plan has been created following consultation with the entire school community, OIDE and the Inspectorate.
